„Baseline study on hazardous waste management in Yerevan, Warsaw and Tirana“

Dvoper d.o.o. prepared a study “Baseline study on hazardous waste management in Yerevan, Warsaw and Tirana” within the project “Capital Cities collaborating on Common Challenges in Hazardous Waste Management – Yerevan, Warsaw, Tirana (ENI/2019/412-943)”.

The subject of the study is hazardous household waste, and the legislative and institutional framework, waste management in the three subject cities, planned projects and recommendations for further management of hazardous waste from households are presented in detail. Also, an example of good practice is presented – the City of Vienna, with which the other three cities were compared through Benchmark Analysis, and Surveys were conducted in all four cities to determine how familiar citizens are with the term hazardous waste and its management, and they had the opportunity to express their views and make suggestions on how municipal and hazardous waste management in their city can be improved.
